The masks of maturity were eroded, teenage girl within had
woken up. Flamboyancy of teens had taken over. Childish excitement if measured
on a scale had reached its highest level. Scintillating eyes and wide smile
directly flashed through heart. Songs played in mind like a continuous loop, I
hummed to myself. “Pretty woman walking down the street, pretty woman the kind
I like to meet.” ;)
It was a lazy Sunday morning (usual) turned into a bright
and breezy one. Charged with kinetic energy some cosmic power ruled me (to
mention of course all of us).
It was a Girls day out!
Not just girls, but great friends who have been a part of each other in the
last three years. The four of us (fantastic four) have had made multiple plans
in the past for a day out, our bad it never happened until yesterday. Explains
all the excitement in the air.
The day started with a long check-list (this time specially
taken care off) -
Outfit of the day

Urgh, the toughest question! Unlimited choices just confuse you sometimes.
It should be apt as per the mood of the day.

Footwear

Another big task. Same question, “Shucks, I don’t have the perfect one
for today.” That calls for the mission, pick-up-a-perfect-one!

Of course how can one forget that.

A new one
|
We all met at Phoenix mall. The way we all smiled at each
other, happiness that we all oozed was the same as a child got his/her favourite candy/toy.
For sure we all were revisiting and recreating the old memory lanes- the ones
we left behind us. The newer us came at crossroads with the teenager inside us
(by heart every girl is still the teenager she was, wearing the mask of
maturity, wisdom, righteousness etc etc.).
Well, our excitement didn’t go unnoticed even by our
husbands. :) In amazement, they all watched our activities since morning.
Firstly we checked out the movies released and their timings.
Naah, nothing exciting. Let’s hit to shopping
directly. So officially the day began with shopping. Elegantly displayed
clothing is such a relaxation therapy for girls. Some of us just picked up
their favorites and went into the trial room. ‘How is this?’ ‘This one or that
one.’ (Opinion poll for all of us ;) ). In front of the mirror she turned left then right, then analysed and finally
bought. Shopping bags in hands is such an asset! The Gollum inside us said, “My precious (truly and deeply)!”
After burning out few calories it was time to have a sumptuous
meal (come on people, picking up what is meant for you and only you is a big
exercise indeed). Tip- You want to lose weight? Just shop every day. :P
Checking out all the fine dining options we settled for Barley
and grapes (something in the name attracted us). The ambience was cosy and stylish. We were so engrossed in clicking pictures that we
forgot to place the order first. Finally our love for fish overruled all the dishes.
Again we went into the shopping spree. This time it was more
elaborate and extensive. Eyes worked as a scanner, rejecting and accepting stuff
to buy. It’s a big data base that a mind handles, especially during shopping. Not
just the best buy in a particular shop but the best buys in all the brands in
the mall. We are all so perfect in it. The number of shopping bags kept on
increasing and so was the joy! ‘The happy moment.’
It was time to satisfy our hunger pangs and freak out our taste buds after the strenuous shopping exercise.
We headed towards Chili's. :P The hangover of shopping was just not enough, we
needed more. Old college stories, gossips, funny incidents imprinted in memory
and experiences were the ending high note. For 2-3 hours we all narrated
various stories, laughed our heart out, and pained our jaws. We kept ordering
food, hogged and hogged until we felt like a balloon. Yummylicious, lip
smacking food (even the mock tails)- every dish was better than the previous
one. ‘Mmmm’, off we all went in chorus.
It was a day locked in memory for years to come. I wish and
know that now we will plan more frequent day outs. But as you say, the first's always hold a special place.
Cheers to us!!!!
P.S.- Still a high. Thousand times I have seen our pics and smiling on my own. Love you girls. xoxo
