I'll paint your canvas of life!!!

By Unknown   Posted at  11:12:00 AM   Poems 2 comments

Life is a canvas so dark and bright,
Where are the colors to fill in the spaces right?
Life says why do you paint me on and off,
Is there anything you want in return?

I am your friend and want to be around,
Just fill in your mood with colors you have in mind.
To this life said why don’t you let me be in my cave,
Don’t  bother for such a marvellous take.

I am happy the way I am,
There is nothing that can change my dawn.
My path is tough and has thorns all the way,
People I loved are lost in my way.

The places I want to go, I am always bereft of them,
I owe the meaning of life in the real sense.
I am moving around and pretending all the while,
I have lost my peace and this is turning a whirl.

When can I be the way I am meant to be,
Surving happiness in thee.
I am walking a lonely path,
What I have gone through is all a fraud.

The false faces and the people with deceiving attitude have taken a toll on me,
It hurts that I am shaken sometimes.
I am walking in the dark, I want to be alone,
I have lost my way and have left no stone unturned.

The pain is wrapped in me,
There is nothing that can put me through zeal.
To this the color replies,”you are my friend so don’t feel dry”,
I am the one who will fill you with firmity.

My existence calls for as you are here,
Come, be with me and paint yourself.
Erase this white color and blossom with me,
Paint your dreams with me.

Mix your feelings with the brush,
Don’t feel low as I am there.
We being together is so rare,
Let's cherish it and glare.

I was always waiting for myself to look the best,
No wonder I found you, on a white base I glow the utmost.
Cheer yourself and lift your spirits up,
Be my pal and lets take a leap together.

The both of us compliment each other,
We are so not complete without being together.
Let me embrace you with my love,
You are the one that suits me the best.

Hearing golden words from colors, the canvas gets excited,
Thrilled with joy says, yes we are perfect together.
You have given me direction and made me realise,
I am nothing till I am empty and white.

Mix all your colours and make me shine,
Till eternity I'll be full of life
coz
I'll paint myself (the canvas of life) with colors  so bright!!!

Kabhi ...

By Unknown   Posted at  10:46:00 PM   Poems 2 comments

Deceptions..fatal or evitable???

By Unknown   Posted at  8:23:00 PM   Musings 1 comment

“All deception in the course of life is indeed nothing else but a lie reduced to practice,
and falsehood passing from words into things.” ~ Robert Southey

This is something that has been bothering me for a while! Passing through different phases of life the one thing I have found prominent among people, is the art of portraying what they are not! It makes me wonder why does it takes so much for people to be just themselves! The huss, the hues and the cries for being what they aren't and could never be, doesnt make sense to me at all.

Relationships!!! How do we define it? The dictionary meaning is, " the state of being connected or related". Emotions, trust and faith are few of many things that we put in all our relationships. "AND" just one thing i.e. deception erodes it all! Question that arises is that, is it all worth it? People think that to be in the good books of others they need to pollute someone else's reputation. They juggle with statements to give misleading impressions of others.

"Truth lies on in midst of deception" . Its an absolute factomundo and easy to read and understand but when it comes to practical situations somehow things get toppled up. A creepy gap gets erupted and smooth flow of communication becomes hay wire. It leaves you scandalized and shocked! Being pretentious, falsehood and buttjuice doesn't carry that far away!  Someday their masks would be revealed, but till that time it sometime becomes too late to recover.

In conclusion, life can be so simple and easy if we all cherish what we have and find a mutual admiration society which is beyond the flaws of proving who is superior to whom? This encourages what you are and what all wonders you can do to your relationships! But again, it becomes a personal choice at the end of day between finding time to keep planning plots to deceive or live life to the fullest and keep deceptions at bay.

"Rise of Indians against Corruption"

By Unknown   Posted at  12:37:00 PM   Musings 4 comments
Its the 11th day of fast of Sri Anna Hazare and this urges me to write something that I strongly feel. Since past few days we all have been witnessing and have been a part of a huge cause that brought us all together. We came up strongly united as "Indians" and not as a part of some caste or creed jinx. People with tri-colour flag are singing patriotic songs, standing with pride and confidence, raising their voices for a cause, a cause against the biggest monster "corruption".

Over the years after our Independence, slowly and steadily corruption became a part of the system, since then system's blood and veins have been infected with this viral. We all need a breakthrough.

In our robust, cumbersome lifestyles and busy schedules we all think that its easy to work out things the simpler way. The simplier way as we call is sometimes 'The Short Cut' that is convenient but not right. Disparity among different strata of people keeps on increasing with time. The reason being, people with power and sources get things done their way with ease and we call it "jugaad" whereas major chunk struggle on a daily basis.

Corruption is majorly because of two reasons, for some its a 'need' and for some it becomes a 'habit'. If we consider lower bureaucrats, their salary is not that significant to make both ends meet. Its a famous saying among them "do number ki kamayi kitni hai" and hence becomes a need for them.

The other and most dangerous lot are the people with a habit of filling their bank accounts with enormous money. For them the saying goes as " yahan sab chalta hai". These people are the ones with power and know that nothing can take a toll on them. They are the makers and breakers of law and know how the whole system can be turned around!!!
'With Power Comes Great Responsibility!' This is something alien for our honorable ministers because for them 'With Power Comes Great Liberty (a gateway for corruption)'.

Few simple solutions can be:
1) Salary of all bureaucrat's should be raised to the extent that they have quailty of life and job satisfaction. Thus their urge or need to demand bribe stops. The tax that we all pay should be used for development to help generate more income and advancements. Its a vicious circle. Stringent laws and rules with sure shot implementation can do wonders in a country. When people know that they can evade and escape from any wrong doing easily, then only all the flaws, gaps and corruption come into picture.
2) There should be strict laws barring which heavy penalties and fines should be established and exercised. The motto 'equality for all' is not just when people have to fight for reservations but in context of laws that are same for all. We can find Hindus, Muslims, OBS , STC'S, etc but we hardly find an Indian. Lets make India a "fine" country:) In my opinion its all right to have fines to impose discipline on people. The law and order situation would be far better then.

'Black money and corruption leads to terrorism'. Terrorism is an ugly form of black money that circulates in the market. From where the money comes and where it goes no one has a track record! OR May be no one wants to keep a record as many are involved.

We have great examples how few economies have curbed corruption. In Singapore, a person who accepts bribe or gives one can be fined upto $100,000 with an imprisonment of 5 years and 7 years if it involves a minister. I am not saying the same is applicable for India as the  economy is small with low population. But Yes! such strict measures can be adopted and exercised.

Anguish, pain, frustration and suffering of common people has taken a shape in the voice of 'Sri Anna Hazare'. Sometimes people know something is wrong but how many times are they able to raise their voice against it?? Not often. They think we have bigger things to think about like work, family, property, cars etc. etc. A person's life revolves around this. Knowingly we have become numb to the present senario thinking " ye sab badalne nahi wala". The change happens when we all rise for it!!! After ages of submissive attitudes we all have found our voice, and has given us a platform to step up and direction to walk on. Lets keep the spirits ON and not hesitate to support this cause till a clear road is ahead of us! It should not be a fad that loosens ground in sometime because if it doesn't happen now then it would never happen in future!!!!

We all can see and understand government's stand on this! How they are trying to manipulate the whole scenario. New controversial statements coming across daily! What is really good to notice is that where is Rahul Gandhi?? He has always portrayed himself as leader of the youth and 'aam aadmi'!!! He has not yet addressed the nation reassuring them for a change!
Hero of aam aadmi is not the one who watches cricket match in common stands or the one giving flying visit to some village and eating with farmers. We all know its all articulated. A real hero is one who lives for the masses and stands with them for their betterment rather than for some publicity campaign.

Lets see how developments shape up in future, I am happy to be a part of such a cause that has rosen people of India together. For the first time I am witnessing a state of being an Indian where we all have come together for "us". Let's not stop, let's not pause, let's not mute. Let's get going!

To quote Mr. Jawaharlal Nehru," At the stroke of the midnight hour, when the world sleeps, India will awake to life and freedom. A moment comes, which comes but rarely in history, when we step out from the old to the new, when an age ends, and when the soul of a nation, long suppressed, finds utterance. It is fitting that at this solemn moment we take the pledge of dedication to the service of India and her people and to the still larger cause of humanity."
